Beaches
There are many great beaches to choose from and all are a gentle drive through scenic countryside, between 35 - 45 minutes drive away.
Villaricos has a small harbour and is surrounded by quiet bays in which to soak up the sun.
San Juan de los Terreros is a typical spanish beach resort with sandy beaches and plenty of restaurants and bars in the town.
Garrucha is a lovely fishing port, also boasting wide open beaches, shops and fabulous restaurants.
Vera is famous for its naturist policy.
Mojacar old town is perched high on a hillside and is an enchanting maze of cobbled streets and beautiful moorish architecture. Below is Mojacar Playa, a popular bustling resort of cool cafes and stylish shops and restaurants.

Sun Worshipping, Books, Games and T.V.
We have our own swimming pool with sun loungers, chairs and hammocks available for your use. Beach towels are available for hire at 2 euro's each. We also have many books and board games for your pleasure at Cortijo Nispero Bed and Breakfast and satellite T.V. installed in the 'Snug' (guest lounge).
Art Galleries
There is a wealth of museums and galleries in Almeria, below are details of a few of our favourites.
Pedro Gilabert, a local sculptor has been honoured with his own gallery in Arboleas.
In Olula del Rio the artist Andres Garcia Ibanez built his own gallery, a beautiful building to house both his own works and others from the 18th and 19th centuries.
In Cuevas de Almazora the Antonio Manuel Campoy gallery is dedicated to 20th century art.
Theme Parks
Tabernas was the setting for the spaghetti westerns in the 60s and 70s. Three theme parks celebrate that history.
Vera has an aqua park, fun for all the family.
Go Karts
Karting Garrucha ( 40 mins.) 200cc and 300cc Go karts for hire. Rates from 10 euros a race. Great fun and kids karts and course also.

Indoor Bowling
Air-conditioned indoor bowling alley in Arboleas with snooker tables, cafe and internet access.
Markets
Local markets are held in Zurgena on Friday and in Arboleas on Saturday. But a market can be found every day of the week in the surrounding area.
Public Swimming Pools
Large open-air pool in Arboleas, open in July and August to the public with a bar/restaurant on site.
